An itinerary in the footsteps of the Saint of universal love, who lived in this land.

Basilica di San Valentino

Those who wish to discover the beauties that dot the territory of Terni and its surroundings and who love to walk in nature can be guided by Saint Valentine’s Walk.

The route begins at the Basilica of Saint Valentine in Terni and winds for almost 190 kilometres through splendid natural spaces, iconic places and "gems” that are less well-known.

In the ten stages envisaged, it reaches medieval villages that were once important castles, adorned by valuable churches; tiny, often forgotten places that guard treasure troves of art; secluded abbeys, real garrisons of the territory as well as religious and cultural centres in past centuries; fortresses that still look imposing; archaeological monuments and waterways that offer refreshment. The last stretch of the Path leads back to the starting point, which is also where this journey ends.

Let's explore some of the places included in the Pilgrim’s Path...
